The next Bay Area Military Law Panel meeting will be held on Monday, November 18th, at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs conference room at the American Friends Service Committee office. Please see location information below. The program promises to be an interesting discussion of public policies on military sexual assault.
Professor and Academic Dean of UC Hastings Elizabeth Hillman will discuss the prosecution of military sexual assault crimes in the US military and abroad. Professor Hillman served as a captain in the Air Force and is president of the National Institute of Military Justice, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting fairness in and public understanding of military justice worldwide. She is also co-legal director of the Palm Center, a public policy research institute that played a key role in ending "don’t ask/don’t tell."
