Law Students: Become a GI Rights Counselor!

Volunteer with the GI Rights Hotline! The GI Rights Hotline provides information to service members, and veterans, on discharges, grievance and complaint procedures, and other civil rights issues. The Hotline is staffed by a consortium of 18 non-profit organizations across the U.S. and Germany. In San Francisco, it is staffed by volunteers affiliated with the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC).

Anti Racism Committee Happy Hour

Join your NLG friends on 26 August, 6-8pm for a happy hour at Somar Bar, 1727 Telegraph Ave Oakland CA (very near 19th St Bart station, exit at 17th St). 15% of bar proceeds will go to NLG, to help raise funds for The United People of Color Caucus (TUPOCC) travel stipends.

We will have the most updated information on the NLG Convention happening in Oakland 21-25 October, including programming by ARC & TUPOCC.

Doris Brin Walker Law Reform Committee

August 19, 2015

The Doris Brin Walker Law Reform Committee will meet on August 19th, 6:00 p.m., at Don Ramon’s, 225 11th St., between Howard and Folsom in SF. The agenda will include discussions on the Conference of California Bar Assocations, and the NLGSF's position on resolutions to be introduced at the conference.

The Doris Brin Walker Law Reform Committee, formerly NLGSF State Bar Committee, participates in many Bar related activities throughout the year and initiates progressive resolutions for consideration and debate among delegates to the annual State Bar Convention.

Immigration Committee Happy Hour!

National Lawyers Guild (NLG) Immigration Committee is hosting a Happy Hour for immigration advocates on August 13th at 6pm at Lost and Found Beer Garden in Oakland.

Come mix and mingle with East Bay immigration attorneys, students/interns, and organizers! Find out what other practitioners and groups are doing in Oakland and how we can work on common projects, provide mentorship, and just get to know each other better!
