NLG Meditation Group

August 21, 2013

Inspired by the CLEs that David Borgen and Doug Chermak have done over the past few years, a group of NLG members has started a meditation group specifically for progressive attorneys, legal workers, and law students. The group is meeting from 8:15-9:00 am on the first Wednesday of each month, and from 12:15-1:00 pm on the third Wednesday of the month, at Sundeen Salinas & Pyle, 428 13th Street, 8th Floor, in Oakland.

NextGen Committee Meeting

August 19, 2013

The NextGen Committee, formerly the Mentorship Committee, has overseen the most successful mentorship program for progressive law students and throws a great cocktail party for NLG members every year. Now, the committee is broadening its work to focus on fostering the next generation of progressive lawyers and legal workers. Join us in this important work!

The next meeting is Monday, August 19, 6 p.m. at Beeson, Tayer & Bodine, 483 9th Street in Oakland.

Sacramento NLG Meeting

June 28, 2013

The next Sacramento NLG Meeting will be Friday, June 28th, 6pm at UC Davis School of Law (King Hall), room 1002. Handicapped parking is available directly in front of King Hall along with metered parking. Visitor parking is located a small walk away from King Hall, near the Mondavi center and visitor parking is 7$/day.

Food will be served.

So far the agenda includes law school chapter update, by-laws discussion and vote, NLGSF committee meetings update, legal observing, KYRT, membership, NLG Sac committees, homeless advocacy training clinic.
