The immigration court observation project trains law students to observe Master Calendar removal proceedings at San Francisco Immigration Court and to document the procedure. NLG has used the documentation toward the publication of reports exposing systematic lack of due process available to immigrants facing deportation. The project allows law students to familiarize themselves with the Immigration Court processes, to get to know immigration attorneys and immigration judges, and to ensure that Immigration Court operates fairly and justly.
