Berkeley, CA: Berkeley Arts & Letters
Berkeley Arts and Letters, City Lights, and the National Lawyers Guild Bay Area present Heidi Boghosian discussing Spying on Democracy with writer and journalist Robert Scheer at her only Berkeley appearance. Berkeley Arts and Letters is held at the Hillside Club, 2286 Cedar Street between Spruce and Arch Streets in Berkeley.
Boghosian documents the disturbing increase in surveillance of ordinary citizens and then explains the danger she believes it poses to our privacy, to our civil liberties, and to the future of democracy itself. Since the news recently broke about how widespread government surveillance actually is, Boghosian has been interviewed in more than 30 media outlets nationwide. Come find out how deeply embedded our surveillance culture has become.
Tickets: $12 general, $8 students; $15 at the door.
