The next Bay Area Military Law Panel meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:00 p.m. at the American Friends Service Committee office at 65 Ninth Street, San Francisco near Civic Center BART.

CHALLENGES TO MILITARY ENLISTMENT CONTRACTS SIGNED BY 17 YEAR OLDS: APPLICATION OF CONTRACT LAW TO MINORITY ENLISTMENT

Emily is a third year law student at Hastings College of Law. She joined the BAMLP Law Student Counseling Program in September, 2009. Emily researched the minority doctrine in contract law and its application to enlistment contracts based on the work of Guild lawyer Matthew Rinaldi. She presented her paper on this subject to the Military Law class taught by Prof. Elizabeth Hillman. Her program will present the findings of her research.

After the program, there will be a discussion of active cases and issues.

New members are welcome. One hour of continuing education credit is available to attorneys.
