The next Bay Area Military Law Panel meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the upstairs conference room at the the American Friends Service Committee office at 65 Ninth Street, near Civic Center BART.

Program: Discharge Upgrade
Presenter: Teresa Panepinto

Teresa Panepinto leads the Legal Department at Swords to Plowshares which provides free legal assistance to veterans seeking VA benefits and military discharge reviews. She is an active member of the Military Law Task Force of the National Lawyers Guild, and served on its Steering Committee from 2004-2009.

Teresa received her undergraduate degree from Willamette University and her law degree from UC Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Teresa spent four years coordinating the nation-wide GI Rights Hotline to advise those serving in the armed forces.

After the program, there will be a discussion of active cases and issues.

New members are welcome. One hour of continuing education credit is available to attorneys.
